Melodramatic reflection drives from the Melodramatic reflection drives from the collection of found-text and personal writings. It is an attempt to ‘concretise’ the fleeting moments writing down as if holding the otherwise short-living and vague emotions. The words have been stored in Instagram account @txt_matter solely dedicated to this recording purpose. All writings are made in Word processing program ‘Page’ to restrain the writings from turning overly typographical but still have the possibility of experiments in restricted environment. The selected texts are engraved into mirrors resembling the narcissistic indulgence of writing process.
Melodramatic reflection은 감정을 기록하거나 일상의 말을 채집하는 인스타그램 @txt_matter으로부터 비롯된다. 스쳐가는 말, 불현듯 떠오르는 단어들의 조합은 거울에 각인되어 반사되는 현실을 마주한다. Yet to be said는 디지털 문자환경에서 망설이는 말, 발신되지 않은 글, 미정의 텍스트를 상징하는 기호들을 따와 이미지와 한다.
