The Times

Film Space: Looping Video with Prints Installation on Wall

A practice of appropriation using technologies through untraditional methods.
The Times looks at new ways of manipulating words and imagery by exploiting the role
in which modern devices can play in art. By appropriating the appropriation of
Kenneth Goldsmith’s book, Day; a documentation of a stripped down version of The New York Times,
this project aims to be creative in an uncreative way. The combination of the laborious ritual of typing
and controlled data manipulation result in new generative forms of concrete poetry.
